If you tow trailers with your ATV you can probably relate with not having the right size tow ball at times and the hassle it is to change them out. Well, youre not alone with this problem. We too have suffered the very same thing and found this product to be a great answer. Its called the “Convert-A-Ball”. This product allows you to easily change from a 1-7/8 inch ball to a 2 inch ball in just seconds. The shank and balls of this model are made of solid stainless steel so that they will never rust, peel or flake. It has a 3/4" diameter shank that is 2” long and a cotter lock pin for total safety. It comes complete with 2 interchangeable balls, one 1-7/8 inch and one 2 inch and has a 5000 LB tow rating. The locking pins that hold the balls in place on the shank are also made of stainless steel and have a tensioning device that keeps them snug and tight.
Another great feature of this product is that it will allow you to have a very strong and safe hook-up point for tow straps, ropes and /or a tow chain at the ball mount when combined with a 1/2” Pear-Shape Link and Shackle. See thumbnail photos below for more details.
Another problem with having a standard tow ball in place is that it is very difficult if not impossible to use that anchor point safely with any other pulling or towing device. With the products shown in the photos below, this is no longer a problem as they cannot slip off as they could with a standard tow ball.
